Arsenal have been told why they can beat Manchester City to the Premier League title this season.

TheGunnersare currently leading the race by a single point after losing just one game so far this season, coming against Manchester United at Old Trafford in a 3-1 defeat.Mikel Arteta is now repaying the trust showed in him at the end of last seasonby leading his team to an incredible start to the new campaign, with Arsenal going strong both domestically and in Europe.

Summer signing Gabriel Jesus joined the Gunners from City in a 45million deal and has been a key addition in attack after registering 10 goal contributions in his opening 11 appearances, butfootball.londonunderstandshe is a doubt for the trip to Leedson Sunday. City star Kevin De Bruyne has laudedArtetafor the work he has done at Arsenal andisnt surprised that the Gunners are challenging Pep Guardiolas side at the top of the tablethis season.

Former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson has highlighted the key qualities Arsenal have that could see them beat Manchester City the Premier League title this season. Speaking onSkySportsahead of the Gunners trip to Leeds on Sunday, Merson said: I think it will be difficult but theyre [Arsenal] playing well at the moment.

The biggest compliment I can give Arsenal at the moment is that they go to Leeds tomorrow [Sunday] and Ill be shocked if they dont win. Over the years Id have been like well Im not sure, it wouldnt surprise me if they got beat.

Now youre giving credit where credits due, this is a very, very good football team. Its got everything. Its got a bit of bite, its got power, its got pace.

This is going to be a funny season, you know, we finish again next month. If Arsenal head into the World Cup break top of the league, we come back, when push comes to shove will Man City be looking more at the Champions League?

Merson believes City could focus more on winning their first Champions League trophy rather than contend with Arsenal for the Premier League title in the second half of the season. The ex-Arsenal midfielder added: If Man City are playing someone on a Saturday afternoon at 3 oclock but theyve got Real Madrid away in the Champions League quarter-finals, is [Erling] Haaland playing?

For me, youve got to stay on their coattails, theres no point playing if youre not going to dream. Theyre [Arsenal] doing well at the moment and if all of those players keep playing the way they are, they wont be a million miles away [from the Premier League title].
